I have been boarding horses and taking lessons at Pepperock since 1992.  This place is addicting.  It is the most peaceful place on the planet with the most caring supportive people managing it.  The key point of all the support and teachings is your relationship with your horse. 

You are trained and nurtured as a team from the beginning.  Everyone takes great care in getting to know the two of you and helping create the best bond and understanding between horse and rider.

I came to be part of the Pepperock family in 1997.  I had owned and ridden horses throughout my life, however, had been out of touch with horses for several years during college.  I began taking hunt seat lessons with Carrie (trainer) and was surprised to realize I still had a lot to learn about riding and horses. 

Carrie was a fabulous teacher, she really has a knack for explaining things so that they can be easily applied.  I have watched her over the years teach child after child how to ride, she is amazing in her patience and perseverance with beginner and intermediate riders. 

During my first couple of years I also fell in love with the Morgan breed.  Most of the lesson horses were Morgans and I decided I had to have one of my own.  I had started taking saddle seat lessons with Diane (trainer/owner) and started looking for my own Morgan horse to show. 

Diane has since trained two Morgans I have owned.  Diane has such a wealth of horse knowledge and she exposed me to so many new horse avenues.  She, along with Bob (trainer), has taught me to become a better horse rider and owner.  We have successfully shown over the past years.  I have very high expectations of the care of my horses and I would have a hard time trusting their care to anyone else.  Pepperock has truly changed my life for the better. — Shana Abbott
